Talma Ski has been awarded as the local resort of the year for the fourth time at the spring meeting of the Finnish Ski Resort Association in Saariselkä on May 5, 2026. The awardees were chosen by Visit Finland Kristiina Hietasaari The jury, led by and supported by an extensive consumer survey on the Ski.fi website, focused on the development of the centers, customer experience, safety, and the promotion of downhill sports.
Talma Ski has shown that a local center can grow in size into a larger experience. The new slope area and Finland's southernmost chairlift have improved capacity, streamlined the customer experience and lowered the threshold for starting the sport. Talma's appeal also brings international customers to the center.
Talma has a variety of exercise facilities for both first-time skiers and world-class skiers. It is a true everyday sports center. Talma shows by example that even a small slope can become a big influence.
